We manufacture our barista tools in Aachen, Germany with 3D printers from the sustainable material PLA. PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable and environmentally friendly plastic alternative made from renewable resources such as corn starch, sugar cane or cassava. Because it is derived from natural materials and can be broken down by microorganisms, it is considered a more sustainable alternative to traditional plastics, which are largely made from petroleum.
